Timeline: 2010

A month by month overview for eighth grade students who want to attend the ninth grade at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School in September of 2010.

There is more detailed information about visiting and registration on other pages in the website. One of the best ways to get to know Loughlin is to schedule a shadow visit. We would be happy to send you an information packet and answer any questions you have. There is a different process for transfer students.

September ‘09

9/2, Wednesday: Register for the Test for Admission into Catholic High Schools (TACHS) and have your school fill out the student applicant record.
9/16, Wednesday, 6:00 - 8:00 PM: Visit us at The Catholic High School Fair.

October ‘09

10/7, Wednesday: deadline for TACHS exam registration on paper.
10/22, Thursday: deadline for internet/telephone TACHS registration.
10/25, Sunday, 1:00 to 3:00 PM: Come to BISHOP LOUGHLIN’S OPEN HOUSE.

November ‘09

11/14, Saturday: Take the TACHS exam.
Apply to the LaSalle Hall Boarding Program.

December ‘09

12/17, Thursday, 6:00PM: Attend the Parents' Association Christmas Party & Performing Arts Christmas Show for Parents. 357 Clermont Avenue, Brooklyn. See photos from last year’s show.

January ‘10

TACHS exam results are mailed out.
Bishop Loughlin acceptance letters will be mailed to students who have taken the TACHS exam.
Apply to Student Sponsor Partner (SSP) for financial aid. To obtain an application visit www.sspnyc.org . For more information about SSP contact them at (212) 986-9575 or Loughlin’s Office of Admissions at (718) 857-2700 ext. 2246.

February ‘10

2/1, Wednesday: Deadline for LaSalle Hall Boarding Program applications.
2/12, Friday: Deadline for returning your Acceptance Confirmation Letter and Pre-registration Fee. By including your pre-registration fee, you save $100. Send it to:
