Visiting

We encourage you to visit Loughlin and find out whether we are the school for you. On this page you will find all the different opportunities for visiting. Don’t limit yourself to just one.

Open House

Loughlin has two Open House events during the school year. This year the events are on:

• Sunday, October 25, 2009 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
  
• Thursday, February 26, 2009 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

Attending an Open House is the best way to get an overview of the school.  7th and 8th grade students and their families have an opportunity to meet some of our students and faculty, tour our campus, and visit the many displays about academics, athletics, extra-curricular activities and school life. You don’t need to make an appointment.

Shadow Day

If you are an eighth-grade student interested in learning more about Bishop Loughlin, we invite you to spend a day with a Loughlin freshman.  You will have the opportunity to observe classes, use our facilities, meet the faculty, ask questions, have lunch in our cafeteria, and enjoy the Loughlin experience.

Shadow Days must be arranged by a parent or guardian.  We suggest checking with your child’s school to find a day when your child’s schedule allows him/her to spend a full day at Bishop Loughlin.  Contact the Admissions office at 718-857-2700 ext. 2246 to to schedule a visit.
       
On Shadow Days, visiting students must wear khaki or black dress pants, any color plain polo style shirt, or a white button down shirt.  Students are NOT allowed to wear jeans, mini-skirts, or flip flops.

Private Tours

If you can’t make it to one of our scheduled events, we will be happy to arrange a private tour.  Contact the Admissions office at 718-857-7200 ext. 2246.

Special Events

Families of prospective students for the 2009-2010 school year are invited to attend three very special events at Loughlin.  There won’t be any tours of the school, but you will have a chance to discover the spirit and talent of Loughlin.

You will need to get tickets for these events. You can get them at an Open House or by calling the Admissions Office at 718-857-2700 ext. 2246.
